Jona is een theatrale duizendpoot; vanuit een nieuwsgierige en kritische blik houdt die zich bezig met (bijna) alle facetten van theatermaken: regisseren, spelen, schrijven en licht ontwerpen. 

In zijn voorstellingen staat de mens centraal als een ontheemd wezen dat zoekt naar manieren om te leven, te begrijpen en zich te verhouden tot de wereld om haar heen. Jona combineert filosofische teksten en een strakke bewegingsregie, om tot grappig en ontroerend werk te komen. Via zijn werk probeert hij de verhalen die we onszelf vertellen over hoe de wereld in elkaar zit te bevragen en open te breken - in de hoop dat er iets nieuws zichtbaar wordt. 

Als twijfelende (radicale en genuanceerde, maar niet radicaal genuanceerde) activist schreef die in hun afstudeerjaar een manifest en essay over theatermaken als vorm van verzet tegen koloniaal kapitalisme.

Jona is a theatrical polymath; with a curious and critical eye, he engages with (nearly) all facets of theater-making: directing, acting, writing, and lighting design.

In his performances, the human being takes center stage as a displaced creature searching for ways to live, understand, and relate to the world around them. Jona combines philosophical texts and precise movement direction to create work that is both funny and touching. Through his work, he seeks to question and dismantle the stories we tell ourselves about how the world works—hoping that something new might emerge.

As a doubting (radical and nuanced, but not radically nuanced) activist, he wrote a manifesto and essay during his final year about theater-making as a form of resistance against colonial capitalism.
