Jojoseph (2001) is een inter-/multidisciplinair theatermaker & performer. Zijn werk is diepgeworteld in zijn Molukse afkomst en onderzoekt thema’s van identiteit, gemeenschap en verbinding. Ook vertrekt zijn werk vanuit wat hij voelt in het lichaam. Hij quote Martha Graham “The body never lies”, een zin die hem bijblijft en die hij meeneemt in zijn creatieve processen. Dit vertaalt zich zowel in intieme solowerken als in producties met grotere groepen. Jojoseph combineert verschillende disciplines – van theater, zang en dans tot film en performancekunst – en zoekt daarbij altijd naar een balans tussen persoonlijke verhalen en een universele zeggingskracht. Een muzikale en beeldende maker die graag de ziel in het lichaam ontmoet en een maker die graag beweging vindt in de lichte en donkerdere kanten van de mens. In een wereld waar het lijkt alsof iedereen eindeloos aan het zoeken is hoopt hij samen met de mensen op en naast de vloer te kunnen ontdekken hoe het is om eindeloos te mogen vinden.

Met zijn veelzijdigheid en sterk organisatievermogen beweegt hij zich zowel op als achter het podium: een maker die niet alleen creëert, maar ook structuren bouwt waarbinnen anderen tot bloei komen. Verder werkt Jojoseph binnen de Toneelacademie ook gepassioneerd binnen diverse organisaties. Hij is actief binnen de raad van veiligheid, de voetbaltoernooi organisatie (hoofd), actie publiek, festival gemaakt (projectleider), Co cheerleading captain, studenten organisatie vusios (voormalig lid/hoofd).

Jojoseph (2001) is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary theater artist and performer. His work is deeply rooted in his Moluccan heritage and explores themes of identity, community, and connection. His work also stems from what he feels in his body. He quotes Martha Graham: “The body never lies”—a phrase that has stayed with him and that he incorporates into his creative processes. This translates into both intimate solo works and productions with larger groups. Jojoseph combines various disciplines—from theater, singing, and dance to film and performance art—always seeking a balance between personal stories and universal expressiveness. A musical and visual artist who loves to encounter the soul within the body, and a creator who finds movement in the light and darker sides of humanity. In a world where it seems as though everyone is endlessly searching, he hopes to discover, together with the people on and off stage, what it is like to be able to endlessly find.

With his versatility and strong organizational skills, he moves both on and behind the stage: a creator who not only creates but also builds structures within which others can flourish. In addition to his work at the theater academy, Jojoseph is also passionately involved in various organizations. He is active on the safety council, the soccer tournament organization (head), Action Public, Festival Made (project leader), Co-Cheerleading Captain, and the student organization Vusios (former member/head).
