Bik luid, grimmig, sarcastisch, dromerig, donker en zonnig, op complexe manier simplistisch en ontoerekeningsvatbaar. Bik maakt performances waar iets inherent mis mee is, in een stijl die nergens op aansluit en gebruik maakt van een onpraktische mix aan technieken, media en technologie. Bik zet zichzelf en het publiek vanuit de kaders van zijn actuele omgeving in een multidisciplinaire situationele ervaring waarin iedereens comfortzone op het spel staat, en waarin de simpliciteit en de context vaak in één oogopslag te vangen zijn, maar de interpretatie en verbeeldingskracht op ironische wijze aan het publiek overgelaten wordt. Seksualiteit, haat en liefde, zelfmutilatie, existentialisme en ontsnapping zijn het vaakst zijn thema’s, onderzocht door middel van digitale platforms, de publieke ruimte, het nachtleven, mode, muziek en geluid, grafische visuals, levende installaties en bewerkte videobeelden, waarbij de precieze combinaties tussen deze media doorgaans het verhaal vertellen.

Bik creates performances that are inherently off, in a style that doesn’t connect with anything and make use of an impractical mix of techniques, media and technology. Bik puts himself and the audience, within the framework of his current environment, into a multidisciplinary situational experience in which everyone’s comfort zone is at stake, and where the simplicity and context can often be worked out in a single glance, but interpretation and imagination are ironically left to the audience. Sexuality, love and hate, self-mutilation, existentialism and escapism are recurring themes in his work, explored through digital platforms, public space, nightlife, fashion, music and sound, graphic visuals, living installations and edited footage, in which the exact combinations of these media typically tell the story.
